RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan has left for Astana as part of the delegation of RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan's official visit to Kazakhstan on October 14-16 to participate in the Armenian Culture Days events in Kazakhstan.
The Cultural Days program features various events, including a ceremonial concert by the Armenian Jazz Orchestra (artistic director: Davit Melkonyan), a photo exhibition honouring Sergey Parajanov, Armenian cinema days, and a tour of the Hamazgayin Theatre named after Sos Sargsyan (artistic director: Narine Grigoryan).
The main events of the Armenian Culture Days will take place at the Kalibek Kuanyshbaev National Music and Drama Theatre in Kazakhstan, featuring an opening concert on October 15 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Charles Aznavour. The concert program primarily includes songs by the chansonnier, however, works by Komitas and Arno Babajanyan will also be performed. Honoured Artist of Armenia Inga Arshakyan and international competition laureate Gor Sujyan will perform with the Jazz Orchestra of Armenia.
On the same day, a photo exhibition dedicated to the life and activities of Sergei Parajanov, prepared by the S. Parajanov Museum, will open in the theatre's foyer.
The next day, on October 16, the “Hamazgayin” theatre named after Sos Sargsyan will perform at Kalibek Kuanyshbaev National Music and Drama Theatre in Kazakhstan, with the performance “Leu Boeuf”.
As part of the Armenian Culture Days in Kazakhstan, Armenian live-action and animated films will be screened in the “7 IMAX KERUEN” cinema.
