The meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani Parliament Speakers Alen Simonyan and Sahiba Gafarova in Geneva has been cancelled, Simonyan’s Press Secretary Movses Harutyunyan informs.
According to him, at the last moment, the Azerbaijani side refused from the previously reached agreement.
The Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly will provide an additional clarification about the reasons for the cancellation of the meeting upon his return to Yerevan.
The meeting was expected to be held on the sidelines of the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Geneva.
