With the imposition of sanctions against Russia, Georgia will record a 10% economic decline, the Prime Minister of Georgia stated.
"The share of our foreign trade in Russia's trade is 0.3 percent, accordingly, the application of sanctions against Moscow would not have any effect.
As for us, economists believe that in that case, the country would experience a 10% economic decline in the first year, and in the worst case scenario, 18%, which would lead to an economic collapse.
That is what the opposition, and some people behind closed doors, demanded from us. And now the European Parliament has dared to announce it publicly," said Irakli Kobakhidze.
According to him, economic problems would facilitate the opposition's path to war and change of power.
