John Podesta, special advisor to the US President on international climate policy, who is on a working visit to Baku, stated that Washington highly values Baku's role in COP29.
"We agreed on our priorities after it was decided that Azerbaijan will host COP29," the official said, according to Azerbaijani media.
Podesta informed that he also met with Ilham Aliyev and discussed a number of issues, including efforts to reach a stable and dignified peace agreement with Armenia.
