Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will participate in the meeting of the 3+3 regional platform to be held in Turkey, Iranian Ambassador to Ankara Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh has informed, reports Sabah daily of Turkey.
"The ambassador said that the third meeting of the 3+3 platform, aimed at achieving peace and formed by Turkey, Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia, is planned to be held in Turkey, and that Iran's foreign minister Araghchi will participate in that meeting," wrote Sabah.
The 3+3 platform envisions broad cooperation between the six countries of the South Caucasus region: Russia, Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia. Georgia has been invited several times to participate in this format, but it has not yet joined its activities. The first meeting of this platform was held in Moscow in December 2021.
