Syrian President Bashar al-Assad says Iran’s second-ever missile attack on Israel this week was a “lesson” for Israel, his office says.
The missile attack on Tuesday evening was “a strong response and taught the Zionist entity a lesson,” Assad is quoted as saying as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi visits Damascus.
Assad and Araghchi discussed ways to stop Israeli operations against Lebanon.
Araghchi told reporters that he arrived in Damascus to hold consultations on establishing a ceasefire in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
