The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan once again complained that the Armenian side is developing defense cooperation with different countries. Aykhan Hajizada accused Armenia of allegedly militarizing and having territorial claims against Azerbaijan.
Earlier, the Սpokesperson of Armenia's Foreign Ministry referred to the accusations and threatening statements coming from Baku. Ani Badalyan assured that official Yerevan has repeatedly and at the highest level declared that it has no aggressive intentions towards any neighbor, recognizes the territorial integrity of all of them and has no territorial claims.
As for weapons, the UN Charter reserves the right of self-defense to every state.
The Spokesperson of Armenia's Foreign Ministry emphasized that Armenia acquires weapons and equipment only in order to exercise the right of self-defense. "Parallel to this, the volumes of armament of Azerbaijan with offensive weapons are many times more, as the President of Azerbaijan often announces," added Ani Badalyan. Instead of aggressive rhetoric, she called to focus on signing the Peace treaty and solving other issues as soon as possible.
