On October 1-2, the delegation led by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Major General Artur Yeroyan, conducted a working visit to Georgia.
Major General Yeroyan was received by the Chief of the Georgian Defence Forces, Major General, Giorgi Matiashvili. During the meeting, both sides highlighted the importance of continued development and expansion of cooperation in the field of defence.
Deputy Chief of Armenian GS AF also met with Deputy Commander of the Georgian Defence Forces, Chief of the General Staff, Major General Joni Tatunashvili. They discussed future prospects for cooperation between the Armenian Armed Forces and the Georgian Defence Forces.
As part of the visit, the Armenian delegation toured the National Defence Academy, the Command and Staff Training Center, the Joint Training and Evaluation Center, and the NCO Academy. The delegation was briefed on the activities and educational programs of these institutions and centers.
