Reuters. Yemen's Houthi group said on Thursday (October 3) they targeted Tel Aviv with drones, according to a televised statement by their military spokesman, Yahya Sarea.
"The Air Force of the Yemeni (Houthi) Armed Forces carried out a military operation targeting a vital target in the Jaffa (Tel Aviv) area in occupied Palestine using a number of Jaffa-type drones," said Sarea.
He said the operation was successful, with the drones allegedly reaching their intended targets.
The Houthi militants, backed by Iran, have repeatedly fired missiles and drones at Israel in what they say is solidarity with Palestinians, since the Gaza war began with a Hamas attack on Israel on Oct. 7.
