On September 30, the RA NA President Alen Simonyan received the Synod led by the Armenian Catholicos-Patriarch of the House of Cilicia of the Armenian Catholic Church the Most Reverend and Blessed Raphael Petros Minasyan.
Alen Simonyan informed that he is glad to host the Synod led by the Catholicos-Patriarch in Armenia and welcomed the latter’s visit to Armenia on the occasion of participating in the Blessing of the Holy Muron and Reconsecration of the Mother Cathedral. The RA NA President highly appreciated the unconditional care of the Armenian Catholic community towards the Armenian cultural values and noted that the Armenian Catholics’ community is a special friendly between Armenia and Holy See.
In his turn, the Armenian Catholicos-Patriarch of the House of Cilicia of the Armenian Catholic Church the Most Reverend and Blessed Raphael Petros Minasyan thanked Alen Simonyan for warm reception.
Alen Simonyan drew attention of the Armenian Catholicos-Patriarch of the House of Cilicia of the Armenian Catholic Church also to the problems of the Armenian prisoners held in jail in Azerbaijan and the protection of the Armenian spiritual and historical-cultural heritage of Nagorno Karabakh. The interlocutors also discussed other issues regarding the peace agenda and of bilateral interest.
