Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with his Estonian counterpart Margus Tsahkna within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York City.
In a readout, the foreign ministry said the two ministers followed up on their June meeting and discussed the steps made in the direction of developing the new agenda of partnership between Armenia and the EU and upcoming actions.
Mirzoyan thanked Tsahkna for Estonia’s support for the EU Council’s decision to launch visa liberalization dialogue with Armenia and expressed hope that future joint steps will enable to ensure tangible results for Armenian citizens in line with European aspirations.
The foreign ministers comprehensively discussed regional developments.
FM Mirzoyan presented the efforts towards the signing of a peace agreement with Azerbaijan, underscoring Armenia’s clear position to sign it in the shortest period of time with the already agreed upon text.
