Speaking at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze expressed his support for the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan:
"We have always been ready and today we are prepared to provide a model of regional cooperation that will foster collaboration and trust between countries, leaving our disagreements behind," said Kobakhidze.
He added that Georgia recognizes the value of peace and deserves to be a peaceful, stable, and prosperous country.
"We are implementing all efforts to transform our region, the South Caucasus, from a conflict zone into a region of opportunities," stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.
