On September 25, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Giorgos Gerapetritis in New York, Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.
The interlocutors touched upon the issues of cooperation between the two countries in various formats, in line with the close political dialogue and shared values.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the steps taken in the direction of the development of the Armenia-EU new Partnership Agenda. The already recorded achievements were emphasized: the EU monitoring mission, the launch of the dialogue on visa liberalization, support to Armenia under the European Peace Facility, as well as further opportunities for deepening the cooperation.
Minister Mirzoyan stressed that Armenia highly appreciates the strong support of Greece and other partners in the direction of forming closer relations with the EU, in line with the aspirations of the citizens of Armenia.
Views were exchanged on issues of cooperation between Armenia and Greece in the direction of enhancing regional security and stability.
