During the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin and Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev held a meeting.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, in preparation for the upcoming COP-29 in Baku, they exchanged views on the climate agenda. They also discussed pressing issues of the UN "Summit of the Future" currently underway in New York, highlighting the need for effective solutions to challenges faced by developing countries.
