On September 23, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis, Armenian Foreign Ministry reports. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly 79th session in New York.
The interlocutors discussed issues of cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats.
The joint efforts aimed at expanding the Armenia-EU partnership agenda and the existing perspectives were touched upon. "The Republic of Armenia continues democratic reforms, we are actively deepening cooperation with the EU in all directions, and we greatly appreciate the genuine support of Lithuania on this path," emphasized the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
In the context of regional developments, views were exchanged on the dynamics of developments in the South Caucasus. Ararat Mirzoyan stressed the importance of signing the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the shortest period of time, having in the clear political will expressed by Armenia in that regard.
