On September 23, within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Espen Barth Eide, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.
The interlocutors commended the active dynamics of the developing political dialogue between Armenia and Norway. The promotion of cooperation based on democratic principles, new opportunities for interaction in different formats were touched upon.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Espen Barth Eide discussed the process of deepening the Armenia-EU partnership.
Views were also exchanged on regional issues. Minister Mirzoyan stressed the importance of not missing the momentum to establish lasting stability in the South Caucasus, to lead the region on the path of economic development, and for this purpose, in particular, avoiding creation by Azerbaijan of artificial impediments on the path of signing the peace treaty.
The issue of unblocking regional economic and transport communications was also touched upon.
