On September 23, the RA NA President Alen Simonyan received the Syndic General of General Council of Principality of Andorra (Speaker of the Parliament of Andorra) Carles Ensenyat Reig, who is in Armenia on an official visit. Welcoming the latter to Armenia, the RA NA President thanked him for his visit to Armenia and emphasized such visits from the viewpoint of bringing the bilateral relations to a new level.
Alen Simonyan proposed to initiate the development of institutional cooperation between the Parliaments of the two countries, in particular, to establish active communication between the Committees on Foreign Relations, as well as to take active steps in the direction of the development of bilateral cooperation in tourism and other fields. The Head of the Armenian Parliament presented the Crossroads of Peace project initiated by the RA Government to his Andorran colleague, spoke about its importance and reaffirmed the RA’s determination to sign a Peace Treaty with Azerbaijan.
Carles Ensenyat Reig, in turn, thanked the President of the RA National Assembly for the warm reception and noted that the development and deepening of relations with Armenia are important for Andorra, especially on the background of the new level of RA-EU relations.
The Syndic General of General Council of Principality of Andorra Carles Ensenyat Reig also toured the session hall of the National Assembly and left a note in the RA NA Book of Honorary Guests.
