In an interview with Sky News Arabia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov commented on the recently intensified discussions that the West may allow the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack military facilities deep in Russia with Western weapons.
"In fact, President of Russia Vladimir Putin recently commented on this situation in St Petersburg. If acted on, the initiatives to provide Ukraine with US, French and British long-range missiles and to greenlight striking any target inside Russia will mean that NATO countries are at war with Russia," Lavrov said.
According to him, now Moscow sees no alternative to defeating the enemy.
Lavrov assured that they do not want a nuclear war, and at the same time warned that Russia has such weapons, the use of which could have serious consequences.
The Russian Foreign Minister commented on the accusations directed at Moscow for military-technical cooperation with Iran and North Korea, assured that the bilateral relations with these countries do not contradict the norms of international law.
