The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, answering the question why the Azerbaijani soldiers who killed the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh a year ago, were not brought to justice, said:
"The office of the Prosecutor General and investigative bodies of the two countries are in close contact with this issue, and the investigation into the circumstances of the death of the peacekeepers is carried out within the framework of criminal cases."
He noted that criminal cases have been initiated both in Azerbaijan and in Russia.
Zakharova expressed hope that the trial will start soon.
