During the briefing, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on the visit of the head of the British intelligence and the high-ranking representative of the American military intelligence to Baku.
"Certainly, such 'voyages' by representatives of an aggressive military bloc do not contribute to increasing the stability and security of the region. We all understand very well that the efforts of the Westerners are primarily aimed at destabilizing Russia's neighboring countries, not at establishing cooperation with them," said Zakharova.
She added that they will continue to clarify the risks of deepening cooperation with NATO in contacts with Azerbaijani and other CIS partners. According to Zakharova, this could lead to "the loss of a part of sovereignty and internal political instability".
