The security architecture we have adopted has proven ineffective. But we usually have two poles of perception when looking at this issue, the first pole is weapons, the army..., the second pole is the external environment, the international community, friends, allies, etc. I want to look at the images from our own positions. Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during the Global Armenian Summit, referring to Armenia's foreign policy.
The Prime Minister also believes that security should start from our minds.
“What was our security architecture and perception? Our perception has been that we can have conflicts in our region in all possible directions, closed borders, strained relations, and we will have distant or not so distant allies, friends who will stand behind us.
Ally is ally, friend is friend, moreover, putting a lot of emphasis on the diaspora, on the countries with Armenian communities that they will all stand behind us, and we can advance our visions in our region. But we didn't think that each of these countries has its own interest,” the Prime Minister emphasized and added that it is from the perspective of everyone's interest that it is necessary to consider what place the ‘Armenian factor’ has.
“We are talking about security guarantees, there is one security guarantee - peace, there is no other guarantee, and the policy of our Government is to create that guarantee, realizing how difficult it is,” said the Prime Minister.
