At an event marking Armenia's Independence Day, USAID Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman praised Armenia's progress in democratic reforms and economic growth since 2018. “The U.S. is committed to supporting Armenia's aspirations for peace, democracy, and prosperity. Coleman highlighted increased U.S. aid since 2018, including efforts to modernize Armenia's digital systems, boost economic growth, and support displaced populations from Nagorno-Karabakh. The U.S. also backs Armenia's peace efforts with Azerbaijan and independence from Russian influence. The U.S. remains dedicated to helping Armenia achieve a prosperous, democratic future”, Coleman said.
