Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the delegation led by French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Stéphane Séjourné.
The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the delegation led by Stéphane Séjourné to the Republic of Armenia and emphasized the further development of relations with France, including in the fields of security and economy. "Our strategy is as follows: we want to strengthen our sovereignty, independence, our statehood, and in this way, of course, we highly value the support of France," said Nikol Pashinyan. The Prime Minister also emphasized France's readiness to support the development of Armenia's relations with the EU.
Stéphane Séjourné thanked for the warm welcome and also emphasized the importance of the consistent development of Armenia-France cooperation in the fields of security and economy. "France is by Armenia's side and will continue its support to the Armenian people, we have made every effort to strengthen the relations between our two peoples," said the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France.
The interlocutors discussed various issues of Armenia-France relations, exchanged ideas on Armenia-EU cooperation. The parties emphasized the start of the dialogue on visa liberalization, as well as the adoption of the decision to support the Republic of Armenia by the European Peace Facility.
Reference was also made to the discussions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, as well as to the processes taking place in the region.
