Russia advocates the complete unblocking of economic and transport communications in the South Caucasus, taking into account the interests of all involved parties. Maria Zakharova, Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced this at the briefing.
"Point 9 of the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020 talks about the unblocking of transport links in the region. Russia remains 100% committed to its obligations.
We are sure that such a resolution corresponds to the interests not only of Yerevan and Baku, but also of all the neighbors, I mean the neighbors of the region, including Russia, Iran, and Turkey," said Zakharova.
According to the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the trilateral working group, which was established in 2021 by the decision of the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, was formed on the basis of agreements, but its work has slowed down.
"Unfortunately, the work of that group did not stop due to our fault. I think we are guessing by whom," he said.
