What has been agreed, and many fundamental provisions have been agreed, let us sign and move forward. Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this during the NA-Government question-and-answer session, answering a question about the peace treaty.
“If the assumption is that we will solve all the important issues and sign it, it means that we will never sign, because if we come to an agreement on 4 more important issues, there will still be 4 more important issues that need to be agreed upon. There will always be 4 questions. There are 4, 5, 6, 15, 20 issues that we need to agree on with all the countries with which we have long-term relations,” said the Prime Minister.
He noted that Armenia does not propose a 13-article Peace Treaty. “We propose a 16-article peace treaty. We have an agreed content for all 16 articles, and for 3 articles this content has been partially agreed with the ones from the beginning, the rest - in full, 13+3, that is, a treaty with 16 articles."
Speaking about the Alma-Ata declaration, Nikol Pashinyan said. “We must refer to the officially announced messages. The delimitation commissions of the two countries issued a statement, if I am not mistaken, that the Alma Ata Declaration becomes the basic principle of the delimitation process, and the parties will be guided by it in the delimitation process.”
