On September 10, on the sidelines of the "Yerevan Dialogue" international forum, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan received Miguel Angel Moratinos, the High Representative of the UN Alliance of Civilizations.
The interlocutors discussed issues of Armenia's cooperation with UN bodies. Current programs and upcoming events were touched upon.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of intercultural dialogue, protection of cultural heritage, youth empowerment and engagement in various spheres of public life as well as cooperation within the framework of the Alliance of Civilizations in those directions.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Miguel Angel Moratinos also exchanged views on issues of regional stability and security. In the context of establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus, the importance of unconditional adherence to the fundamental principles of international law was stressed.
