Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže has called for the provision of long-range weapons to the armed forces of Ukraine for strikes deep into Russia. She wrote about it on X social network.
"Ukraine needs long-range missiles, point strikes, targeting and the absence of restrictions on their use," the publication says.
Last week, Pentagon Spokesman Patrick Ryder announced that the United States does not intend to lift the current restrictions on Ukraine's armed forces to strike deep into Russian territory with American weapons.
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in turn, emphasized that the Ukrainian army is already carrying out attacks with Western missiles in the direction of Donbass and other territories, and the possible increase of the distance is a mere provocation.
