The purpose of the Agreement is to facilitate the travel procedures of persons with diplomatic passports of Armenia and Tunisia. The citizens of each state holding a valid diplomatic passport will be exempted from the requirement to obtain a visa to enter the territory of the other state for a period not exceeding 90 days within 180 days from the date of transit or first entry.
The relations between Armenia and Tunisia have a great potential for development. The document will also be important from the viewpoint of the expansion of the legal contractual field in the field, which will give an opportunity to expand and deepen the political dialogue with Tunisia, and to invigorate mutual visits.
The RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan spoke about this during the debate of the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Tunisia on the Abolition of the Visa Requirement for Persons with Diplomatic Passports at the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations on September 4.
According to the Committee member Hripsime Grigoryan, the ratification of the Agreement is another positive step in terms of expanding the relations with the friendly country and creating easy conditions for mutual visits. She suggested that her colleagues respond positively to the draft law .
The draft law was endorsed by the Committee.
