Voter turnout in the snap parliamentary election in Azerbaijan amounted to 37.24 percent, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan reports.
The website noted that the CEC received data from all 6,478 polling stations in 125 electoral districts.
The snap parliamentary election was held in Azerbaijan on September 1.
A total of 2,196,771 voters had cast their ballots in the election, and 5,895 polling stations submitted their protocols to the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan.
A total of 112,749 local observers have been registered, including over 65,000 representatives of political parties. There were 598 international observers from 51 organizations and 69 countries.
Among the 990 registered candidates, 305 represent 25 political parties, while 371 are party members but were not nominated by their parties. In total, 676 candidates are affiliated with political parties.
This year, for the first time, the elections were held without PACE observers. Yesterday, various videos about election violations were distributed. In some precincts, there were cases of stuffing, repeated voting, and pressure was put on observers and journalists.
