The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has started supplying natural gas to Croatia as of Monday, Azerbaijani media report. The Azerbaijani natural gas to Croatia is delivered through PPD and MET Group companies.
With this development, Croatia becomes the tenth country to receive Azerbaijani natural gas, joining Turkey, Georgia, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Serbia, and Slovenia, SOCAR said in a statement.
Azerbaijan supplies natural gas to Europe through the Southern Gas Corridor. The current capacity of the European part of this corridor, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline, is 10 billion cubic meters per year, with the possibility of increasing to 20 billion cubic meters.
