On September 2, the RA NA President Alen Simonyan received the delegation led by the Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament Nikoloz Samkharadze which arrived in Yerevan to participate in the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations and the Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament.
Noting the deepening development of the relations between Armenia and Georgia, the RA NA President made a proposal to develop new formats for the activation of parliamentary contacts.
The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament thanked Alen Simonyan for his warm welcome and welcomed the initiative of the RA NA President. Speaking about the regional developments, Nikoloz Samkharadze mentioned that Georgia supports the signing of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The parties also discussed various other issues regarding the Armenian-Georgian agenda and of regional interest.
