The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the air defense forces shot down 20 Ukrainian aviation-type drones at night.
Russian Telegram channels also reported that the Russian cities of Saratov and Engels were attacked by Ukrainian drones from Sunday to Monday morning. The airport in Engels, where the Tu-95 strategic bombers are located, was targeted, 11 of them were in the air at the time of the attack.
In Saratov, a 38-story residential building was hit by drones. As a result of the attack, several people were injured, the governor of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, said on his Telegram channel.
The distance from the damaged building to the Engels military unit and the military airport is 12 km. Saratov and Engels are located on the right and left banks of the Volga. The border with Ukraine is about 700 km in a straight line.
