Wildfires have broken out in Turkey's Izmir and Manisa provinces. According to local media, a large amount of special equipment and helicopters have been deployed to prevent the spread of the fire.
Izmir Governor Suleyman Elban reported that several settlements have been fully evacuated. He also mentioned that there have been no casualties among the local population.
Reports indicate that wind speeds are reaching up to 80 km/h, making it difficult to contain the fire.
Wildfires are also raging in the Bolu, Manisa, and Çanakkale regions. Turkey's Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Ibrahim Yurmali, announced that 700 hectares of forest land in one of the villages of Çanakkale have become unusable.
