The Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Moscow was summoned this afternoon to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was informed that the discussions would focus on "press reports regarding the alleged intention of the Republic of Moldova to host F-16 aircraft for Ukraine."
Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that Moldova does not and will not host military weapons or equipment, including aircraft intended for Ukraine. “The Republic of Moldova is a neutral state, and its institutions will continue to uphold the principle of neutrality”, the ministry said in a statement.
