Sweden-Armenia Friendship Group in the Swedish Riksdag issued a statement regarding the adopted decision of the EU Council on providing assistance to Armenia under the European Peace Facility (EPF) and to open a Visa Liberalization Dialogue.
“On the 22nd of July, the EU Council adopted decision to provide assistance to Armenia under the European Peace Facility (EPF) and to open a Visa Liberalization Dialogue.
This is a very important milestone in the Armenia-EU partnership based on shared values, principles and vision for prosperity.
We, the undersigned members of the Sweden-Armenia Friendship Group in the Swedish Riksdag, welcome the decision of the EU Council and emphasize Sweden's support for the deepening of the Armenia-EU partnership and underline the EU's commitment to continue supporting Armenia”, the statement reads.
Björn Söder, Markus Wiechel, Arin Karapet, Marléne Lund Kopparklint, Yusuf Aydin,Erik Hellsborn, and Gudrun Brunegård signed the statement.
