Garo Kaprielyan, a well-known figure in the Armenian community, was attacked by employees of a market in Kinali. Reported by the weekly newspaper “Agos”. The police said that the incident would be transferred to the prosecutor's office. The attack was condemned by the Armenian Church in Istanbul. Archbishop Sahak Mashalyan, Patriarch of Armenian Apostolic Church of Constantinople Patriarchate, visited Kaprielyan in hospital and wished him speedy recovery.
