A Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber crashed in the Volgograd region in southern Russia on Saturday while performing a scheduled training flight, state-run RIA news agency reported the Russian defense ministry as saying on Saturday.
The crew ejected and the plane crashed in a deserted area.
The flight was carried out without ammunition.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the initial cause of the plane crash is a technical malfunction. The commission of the Russian aerospace forces is working at the place of the plane crash.
