On July 25-26, the delegation led by the RA NA Vice President, the Head of the Armenia-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group Ruben Rubinyan is on a working visit to Georgia. The members of the Armenia-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group Vahagn Aleksanyan, Artsvik Minasyan and Shirak Torosyan are in the delegation.
On July 25, in Akhaltsikhe, the delegation led by Ruben Rubinyan met with the First Deputy Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, the Head of the Georgia-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group George Volski and the members of the Friendship Group. During the meeting, the parties emphasized the continuous strengthening of Armenia-Georgia strategic partnership, discussed issues regarding inter-parliamentary cooperation, regional security, political, economic, and cultural spheres.
Then a meeting was held with the State Representative in Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia Besik Amiranashvili, the Heads of Aspindza, Akhalkalak, Ninotsminda communities, as well as the representatives of the Armenian community of the region. At the meeting, reference was made to the possibilities of development of multi-sectoral cooperation between Armenia and Georgia.
