Russian President Vladimir Putin has met with his Syrian counterpart Bashar Assad in the Kremlin.
"Dear mister president, I am very happy to see you," Putin said.
"We have the opportunity to talk about the entire set of our relations. We have not seen each other for a while," the Russian leader added.
Syrian President noted that he is pleased this meeting coincided with the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Syria and Russia.
"Over the past decades, our countries have undergone internal processes and various stages of formation, and now the relations between our two countries are at a very mature stage. Considering the processes taking place around the world and in the Eurasian region, today's meeting is a very good opportunity to discuss cooperation and all the details," Assad said.
