A delegation, led by French Ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decottignies, which included specialists from the French company Framatome, visited the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) on Tuesday, the ANPP informed.
During the meeting with the management of the ANPP, important matters of interest to both sides were discussed, the domains of the ANPP's activities where Armenian-French cooperation is possible were discussed, and the work and projects were noted that were successfully implemented at the ANPP in cooperation with Framatome - and using French technologies.
Among the projects already being implemented or planned in the near future, the chances of France's participation in the cooperation with various countries to build a new power unit in Armenia was underscored in particular. The management of the ANPP expressed readiness to cooperate with the French side in this important matter and to study the proposals on reactor technologies.
At the end of the meeting, the parties offered their recommendations and expressed hope that in the near future it will be possible to start effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in the considered domains.
