Azerbaijan invited Armenia to the COP29 climate summit. This was announced by Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, head of the foreign policy department of the head of state's administration.
He informed the journalists that an invitation was sent to Yerevan.
"Mukhtar Babayev (President of COP29) sent a letter of invitation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia," Hajiyev said.
He stressed that COP29 is a global initiative. "Now is the time for the Armenian government to make a decision," Hajiyev said.
