On a working visit to Thessaloniki, Armenian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Greece Tigran Mkrtchyan met with Professor Panayotis Ketikidis, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thessaloniki Innovation Zone.
AAmbassador Mkrtchyan presented Armenia’s latest achievements in the field of high technologies, emphasized its significance as the most important strategic direction for the country. During the meeting, the significant role of digitization in increasing the efficiency of education, economy and management was discussed.
Professor Ketikidis noted that he had the opportunity to visit Armenia on various occasions and can confirm the great progress recorded by the country in the field of high technologies. He also presented his organization’s concept of turning Thessaloniki into a technology zone,
expressing willingness to cooperate with Armenian companies at the local, nationwide, regional and international levels in establishing connections and exchanging experience.
Ambassador Mkrtchyan referred to the Crossroads of Peace concept and spoke about its importance in the development perspective of the region.
Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Thessaloniki Akis Dagazian participated in the meeting.
