The European Union's Political and Security Commission has approved the candidacy of Magdalena Grono for the post of special representative for the crisis in the South Caucasus and Georgia. She will replace Toivo Klaar, the Czech permanent representation to the EU said.
"Political and Security Committee PSC just confirmed the appointment of Magdalena Grono as Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Georgia. The nomination will be formally confirmed by the Council of the EU," wrote the Czech mission on its social media page X.
In May, Grono was appointed chief diplomatic adviser to European Council President Charles Michel. Before that, she served as senior foreign policy adviser to European Council President Charles Michel.
