Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan received the delegation led by the president of the "International Collegiate Programming Contest" Foundation.
Arayik Harutyunyan noted that Yerevan State University has joined the International Programming Olympiad since 2001 and recorded an exceptional result in the "ICPC World Finals" held in Luxor, Egypt in 2023, which was the best result in the history of Armenia's participation in the competition.
Arayik Harutyunyan emphasized the importance of the participation of other Armenian universities in the contest in recent years, as an indicator of the efforts aimed at popularizing the contest in Armenia.
The Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister noted that the Armenian government has submitted an application to host the "ICPC World Finals" in Armenia, and if the application is approved, the Government is committed to organizing this prestigious event in accordance with all international standards.
The interlocutors also discussed the possibilities of deepening the cooperation between the Armenian Government and "ICPC" Foundation, as well as referred to the organizational issues of holding the event in case of approval of the Armenian Government's application.
