The EU members' opinions on the situation in Ukraine have started to diverge, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said.
"We were very united during the war in Ukraine. Now disagreements are starting to appear. You have seen Hungary's position," Borrell said in an interview with Spanish TVE.
At the same time, he said, there was no such unity in the European Union regarding the Middle East conflict.
Borrell referred to the recent visits of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, including to Russia, and noted that foreign policy in Europe is the competence of the member states, as long as it does not contradict the approach adopted as a general policy.
