The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, congratulated Roberta Metsola on her re-election as the President of the European Parliament.
“Fully deserved. Your leadership and passion for Europe is more needed than ever," Leyen wrote on her
X microblog.
Earlier we reported that Metsola was re-elected to the position of President of the European Parliament. During the first session of the European Parliament, 562 MEPs voted in favor of Metsola's candidacy.
