Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze considers the country's membership in the North Atlantic Alliance quite realistic and is sure that the republic will join NATO by 2030, despite various problems.
Earlier, Georgia announced its willingness to improve relations with the United States. In a conversation with US Deputy Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy and Human Rights Uzra Zeya, Kobakhidze said that Georgia is ready for mutual steps and "pragmatic, rational and fair approaches".
He commented on the US and EU sanctions against Georgia, expressing the position that the approved restrictions "do not meet the expectations of the Georgian authorities in terms of re-establishing relations".
