French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the settlement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan with Turkish President Recep Erdogan in Washington, the press service of the French President's Office reported.
"The President of France reaffirmed his support for the current dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan in order to reach a peaceful agreement as soon as possible, which can open a new page in the region," the message reads.
According to the information of the Turkish side, Macron and Erdogan also discussed "bilateral relations, the course of the war between Ukraine and Russia, Israel's attacks on Palestine, as well as regional and global issues" at the meeting held on the sidelines of the NATO summit.
It is noted that Erdogan emphasized the strengthening of relations between Turkey and France in all fields, as well as the need to activate the process of Turkey's accession to the European Union.
