Russia has never put its friends, allies, partners in front of a dilemma: with us or against us, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated during the briefing, referring to the Armenia-US strategic dialogue.
“We have not set such a problem. It contradicts our fundamental principles,” said the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, adding that it is the West's way of working which completely disregards the interests and concerns of those with whom it establishes a strategic dialogue. According to Zakharova, a classic example of this is Ukraine.
“Does the Armenian people realize that partnership in practice does not mean providing protection, guardianship, assistance, and even more so support of the declared volume," Zakharova said. According to her, it is obvious that the real meaning of this mechanism is to transfer the given country under the external administration of the USA.
The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry also referred to the Armenian-American mutual visits, and noted that there is no confidence that Armenia will receive the promised aid. According to Zakharova, the US demands concessions not only for the money provided, but also for the already promised money.
