Deputy Prime Ministers of the Republic of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan and Tigran Khachatryan received a delegation headed by Erin McKee, Assistant Administrator in the Bureau for Europe and Eurasia.
At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan presented the implementation of the 'Crossroads of Peace' initiative, touching upon its political, transportation, energy and other components. The development of the feasibility study of the Peace Crossroads Initiative supported by USAID was highlighted. The sides also exchanged views on the opportunities of capital market development and trade promotion.
Touching upon the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Armenia in providing stable and decent living conditions for the IDPs from Nagorno-Karabakh, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan presented the works on providing them with housing and employment. In this process, Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of cooperation with USAID, especially in terms of employment stimulation.
The sides also exchanged views on the established cooperation in the spheres of public administration reforms, digital transformation, strategic communication and disaster risk management. The importance of capacity building and strengthening the resilience of institutions was emphasized.
